My Edinburgh based client, are looking for a Lead Solution Designer / E2E Designer to join their team.
• Leading a team of Solution Designers and Technical Engineers (including resource management across projects)
• Working with the business, technology and architecture teams to explore and agree solution designs that meet business requirements within project and enterprise constraints (time/cost/strategies/roadmaps)
• Evaluating and undertaking impact analysis on design options highlighting the associated risks and benefits.
• Delivering technical overview of proposed solutions for approval by relevant stakeholders.
• Creating solution architecture scorecards & design documents to inform the detailed design and build undertaken by internal teams and vendors, ensuring the required engagement is undertaken with relevant stakeholders and is fully aligned with the Architecture & Design Governance processes.
• Using knowledge and expertise of the solution and the development life-cycle to support the project planning process.
• Defining / agreeing the integration build, validating interface specifications and designs from internal and external suppliers. Advising on test strategies & specifications and assisting with fault diagnosis.
• Building, maintaining and disseminating solution domain knowledge across CIO.
• Contributing technical criteria and evaluating responses as part of supplier selection processes.
• Participates in domain level technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction and helps to aligns architectural strategy with business requirements.

To be considered for this role, you should have some or all of the following background:
• Solution Architecture & Systems Design (SOA, Middleware, EAI, Cloud)
• Architecture design tools (Office, Enterprise Architecture tools).
• Knowledge of Industry Models or Frameworks (TOGAF)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Understanding of data concepts and design.
