Watford Works – Are you 16-24 years old and looking for work??

Today Eminence Recruitment attended an event that they were invited to by Camelot, in support of a great local cause for unemployed youth, supported by Watford FC and multiple local businesses.

“Watford Works” is a programme aimed at giving 16 to 24 year old’s the confidence and tools to attract full time employment.  They get enrolled into an intensive course, lasting four weeks, where they will benefit with assistance in CV writing, interview role play,  temporary work placements, a tour of Camelots facilities and meeting business owners locally that have succeeded from a similar background.

Over the course of the event we spent time exchanging ideas and views with our local MP Richard Harrigton and CEO of Camelot Dianne Thompson.  However, it was the course attendee’s that stole the show, after an awards ceremony one of the team addressed the entire room (comprising mainly of company directors), with such aplomb, it endorsed what a worthy cause “Watford Works” is!
