Job Description

As an NFT Test Lead you will be responsible for:

Proving of non-functional requirements for performance, resilience, monitoring & operability
Proving of service changes in respect of Infrastructure (including Cloud), Software & Networks
Supporting Change Management in the Pre-Production Environment including scheduling and clash management of competing change
Technical Risk Assessment of Infrastructure/Solution Architecture Documents
Test Scoping
Test Estimations based on Scope & Risk
Budget Planning based on tracking actual with estimated spend
Test Planning,
Test Specification
Automated Test Script Development
Test Execution & Results Analysis
Stakeholder Management
Estimation & Budget Planning
People Management

Understanding of Distributed Platform Technologies for Data Centres & Cloud Computing
Understanding of Fault Tolerant System behaviours for local and distributed Clusters
Able to assess the technical risks inherent in a software and infrastructure platforms in respect of performance and resilience
Interpretation of System Resource Monitoring outputs to determine pinch points in CPU, Memory, Disk i/o and Network circuits Risk Analysis and articulation of the NFT Approach for a Project Testing Requirement
Problem Identification by analysis of Application & Database logs in order to target Support team’s effort in the right areas
Technical Development of automation scripts based on appropriate HTTPS, SQL or Web Protocols to emulate volumes of traffic on the System Under Test
Tracking Execution and keeping Project Stakeholders informed about Testing progress and escalating issues where necessary
Documentation of NFT Test Approach and Test Results in a way that can be understood by both Business & Technical Stakeholders
Creating Knowledge Artefact’s for the wider team to use
Training & Coaching of new team members
Functional Testing experience / background
Load Runner Scripting and C Programming
Apache JMeter Scripting
Workload Automation (Batch Scheduling)
Virtual Table Server technology to support high volume test data generation
Use of Excel Macros to Mock up Data Files
Database SQL (Intermediate)
