Bid Co-Ordinator / Bid Executive

My client, a managed service provider based close to Watford / Hemel Hempstead are looking for a Bid Co-Ordinator / Bid Executive to join their team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, working with commercial bid management, research and document-creation support essential for the successful submission of completed bids to existing or prospective clients, on time and within budget.

The role of Bid Executive is to manage the effective production of proposals (e.g. ITT, RFI, RFQ, RFP) and ensure answers to client questions, defining the conditions for success – High level knowledge of Word, Excel and ideally PowerPoint

This role will involve working closely with senior management, sales, support and operations teams to identify the requirements for each bid situation; owning, developing and leading the formal bidding process to their clients.

Pre-bid:
Working with Sales to assess prospect needs
Coordinate answer of the Proposal questions, as required
Coordinating the gate keeping and Bid/No Bid process
Producing the bid brief
Identifying resources and expertise, as required
Establish the bid planning, integrating it into a workable schedule

During the process:
Ensure the effective running of bids by:
Leading all aspects of day to day bids
Writing the bid, editing the contributions and coordinating the bid production
Maintain the bid library
Ensuring compliant submission
Preparing presentations
Briefing the team, practicing the presentation with sales, as required
Supporting sales closure (project or business review)

Post-bid:
Monitor and update the bid log
Produce post bid reviews and handover documents, win/loss reviews
Ensure relevant KPI reporting
